BLU Studio C

The Miami, Florida-based mobile phone company, BLU, is not known for flagship phones or phones that cost a fortune. No, BLU, as a company, is known to bring out the best in the entry-level and midrange consumer market.

I think that most mobile phone companies want to bring out an entry-level phone mainly because of the success of the Motorola G. They’ve also found out that people are actually buying inexpensive phones.

Now, when you hear the word “inexpensive”, it’s kind of gotten a bad rap in the years’ past. But, that term is now synonymous with “bang-for-the-buck”.

In this article, we are going to talk about one of BLU’s bang-for-the-buck mobile phones and that is the BLU Studio C.

The two major selling points of the BLU Studio C is its included 3,000 MaH battery and a whopping $99 price tag. That’s right, this phone costs under $100. Most people would scoff at the sight of the price tag, but I think it doesn’t do justice. That is why in this article, we are going to talk about what makes the BLU Studio C a good budget phone.

The design of the BLU Studio C is reminiscent to that of BLU’s other Studio line of mobile phones. It’s got a polycarbonate chassis with a glass front protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It even borrowed some design aspects from the Google Nexus 5. What did they borrow? Well, it is the earpiece. You see, the BLU Studio C comes in a variety of colors and whichever you choose, the earpiece will have the same color to that of the overall color of the phone. That also shows how trendy looking this phone is (and I think it is targeted for younger consumers).

The BLU Studio C comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720p and a maximum pixel count of 294ppi. Although the resolution suffers a little bit, the IPS display makes up for it in a big way. A 5-inch IPS display panel should make people who are looking for this phone as their media device happy.

This mobile phone also comes with a quad-core processor in the form of the MediaTek MT6582 clocked at 1.3GHz. It also comes with the Mali-400MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. All of the other specs is good except for the RAM. If they could opt for at least 2GB of RAM, it would’ve been better. Still, it is a budget phone so there has to be some cutbacks.

As for the operating system, the company decided to give people the Vanilla Android experience. That is why the BLU Studio C comes with the stock Android Lollipop version 5.0.2.

For a $99 phone, the Studio C’s camera is pretty good. The phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera that captures crisp images. The camera app also has four different modes such as the Beauty, Panorama, Normal, and Live Photo Mode.

The BLU Studio C is a very good phone. With a decent camera, 5-inch IPS display, and a really hefty battery capacity of 3,000 MaH, you can’t go wrong with the BLU Studio C.
